2019 AGM and Board By-Elections

Voting Process

I am pleased to invite you to vote in our 2019 Board By- Election. If you are a paid up ACTC member as of May 29th, 2019, you are eligible to vote for the two Board positions that were compromised in our May Board Election.

Please visit Results of May Board Election to review reasons for holding a By-Election for compromised Board positions.

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday, September 27th at 7:00 PM in the Longo's Community Room (on the 2nd floor of Longo's Grocery Store).

Voting for the two contested Board Director positions will begin on Wednesday September 18 and end on Thursday September 26 at 6:00 p.m.

The Board candidate's profiles are posted. Members are invited to review candidate profiles posted on our website before they vote.

Online Voting Process

On September 18, you will receive an email with your invitation to vote in the by-election. After clicking on the link in your invitation to vote, you will be requested to login to our membership system to vote. After you log in with your email and password, the vote page will open up.

If you forgot your password, click on "FORGOT PASSWORD". A new password will be emailed to you. Check your inbox (or trash folder), find the new password sent to you, copy the password and paste it into your login box. After logging in, you will see the vote page and you can vote.

When voting, please note that your choice of candidates includes an Abstain option. Also, in order for your vote to be submitted, you must select a candidate for each Board position. You do have an option to click on Abstain if your unsure or don't know enough about the candidates to vote.

The current Board has done an excellent job in testing and approving the online voting software for our 2019 Board Election. Be assured your vote will be anonymous. The Board is very pleased to have created a online voting process that reaches out to all it's members.

The ACTC Board has recruited an Election Moderator that has no connection to the ACTC. This person has decades of experience in the faith community and health care sector. We are honouring his wish to be anonymous. We are sharing his name to a neutral Town of Aurora official so the role has transparency outside the current Board of Directors.

The Election Moderator  role is to ensure the current ACTC Board has a "arms length" role in the 2018 Board Director Election.

Candidate Profiles

Voting will commence on September 18 and end September 26th.

The Election results will be announced at the AGM on Friday, September 27th.

An email will be sent prior to the AGM to all ACTC members.
